ICAO standards are used to develop all distance learning programs. [Standards Section]

Custom Tailored Content

Each Interactive Distance Learning Program can be tailored to meet the training needs of commercial or general aviation facilities, as well as a wide range of air operators.
Individual modules contain ICAO required Goals and Objectives, while providing “real world” content within the context of the end user’s needs.

Airport facilities both large and small will find the ICAO and US TSA security and safety standards presented in a manner relative to their own unique operation.

Delivery

Various programs can be subscribed to in a variety of mediums including: a) the World Wide Web – allowing for use of laptops, desktops and palm top computers, b) iPod channel and the River Net Distance Learning television network as well as c) direct interaction from www.avsec-center.org. Special Topic and in-classroom sessions are used to accommodate outside speakers and provide a venue for the testing and certification process.

End Users

These unique instructional programs have been designed in accordance with ICAO Annex 17, Amendments 10 & 11, Doc 8973, TSA -001 and US 49 CFR. Airport Managers, security line and staff personnel, airline operators and Municipal Responders can all benefit from the material presented.
Each program user is presented a dynamic learning environment, evaluation instruments and individual progress tracking. The end result is a true acquisition of academic knowledge and technical skills - rather than simply viewing broad based edutainment programming.
